Christianson Condado, the Ashford Avenue brunch restaurant known for French toast and unlimited mimosas, will close Sunday, Nov. 1. The restaurant has not said why.
SAN JUAN, Oct. 31 — Christianson Condado will serve its last brunch Sunday, Nov. 1, ending its run at 1131 Ashford Ave., the restaurant announced on Instagram. Metro Puerto Rico first reported the closing Oct. 26.
Posts on the restaurant’s account, @christiansoncondado, dated Oct. 23, Oct. 25 and Oct. 28 all say its doors close Nov. 1, and the profile reads “Last day: November 1st.” In the Oct. 23 video, the restaurant said it was saying goodbye to the space and referred to its past four years.
None of the posts or the restaurant’s website explain the reason for the closing, the lease situation or plans for staff, and Condado Daily has not confirmed those details. Metro also reported that no reason had been given.
The website lists hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday, which would make Sunday’s service 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The site does not carry a closing notice, and some third-party listings show different days, so call 939-363-5532 before going. Reservations are taken through the booking link on christiansonbrunch.com.
The restaurant calls itself the French Toast House. Its website highlights the Berry Cream French Toast, a stack topped with whipped cream, strawberries, blueberries and kiwi, and The Superstar, a plate of eggs, French toast, bacon and potatoes. The bar list includes a Moscow Mule, an Espresso Martini, an Aperol Spritz, a mimosa flight and a Bloody Mary.
The site advertises unlimited mimosas at $35 per person, “all day, every day.” Metro described the restaurant as known for its brunch, large plates and that promotion, with French toast versions that include cinnamon, Nutella and fruit. The website shows a 4.9 average from 8,528 Google reviews and lists delivery through Uber Eats and DoorDash.
