Villa Azure, a boutique hotel in Ocean Park, has opened its second building, Villa Paradiso, bringing the property to 16 suites, and its owners are planning a third phase for next year.
Villa Azure has seven suites and Villa Paradiso nine, El Vocero reported. The hotel sits on Calle Guerrero Noble, on the site of two homes built in the 1960s by the Rexach and Barroso families.
Owners have invested about $9 million so far, financed with private capital and local bank lending, according to El Vocero. El Nuevo Día puts the total across all three phases at about $15 million.
The third phase, planned for next year, would add 12 suites, a spa, a gym and event space for an estimated $6 million, El Vocero reported.
The hotel employs 14 people directly, and construction of the second phase, from 2024 to 2026, generated about 100 indirect jobs, the outlet reported. The first phase opened roughly three years ago.
El Nuevo Día names the owners as Lilibeth Rosario Medina and Gonzalo García de Miguel. The hotel’s website lists the Ocean Park address, 16 suites and online booking.
