Yadiel Torrales Lazú, 16, Jacqxiel M. Jamil Valentín, 16, Damon Córdova Rivera, 15, and Florentino Elías William Franco, 14, have all left the Fernández Juncos group home in Miramar since Aug. 27 — police are still searching for all four as of Sept. 2.
Update, Sept. 2: A fourth boy, Florentino Elías William Franco, 14, was reported missing after leaving the home a day after the first three. This post has also been corrected to reflect that the group home is located in Miramar, not Santurce as originally reported.
The first three left the Hogar del Niño Manuel Fernández Juncos at around 7:20 p.m. on Aug. 27, according to the facility’s director, Rodolfo de los Ángeles Vega Carranza, who told police they took their belongings before jumping the property’s security fence.
William Franco left the home the night of Aug. 28, one day after the other three, according to Primera Hora. He is described as fair-complexioned, 5-foot-3, 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes; he was last seen wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans and sandals.
The Puerto Rico Police Bureau’s Missing Persons Division, working out of the San Juan Criminal Investigation Center, first appealed for information on Aug. 31 for the original three boys; a separate alert went out Sept. 2 for William Franco. None of the four had been located as of publication.
Torrales Lazú is described as 5-foot-10, 143 pounds, with brown eyes and long, curly brown hair; he was last seen in a black hooded jacket and black sneakers. Jamil Valentín is 5-foot-7, 149 pounds, with brown eyes and curly black hair, last seen in all-black clothing and shoes. Córdova Rivera is 5-foot-9, 154 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, last seen in a gray jacket and black pants.
